noise-rock recs

I'm looking for something that combines effects pedal abuse with skronky guitar/drums/bass interaction. should have vocals, but instrumental bands are ok.

when you say noise rock I'm assuming you're referring to AmRep style craziness. I'll stay away from the older 90s entries here (but don't skip Unsane and Karp!) and go with new(ish) bands that I dig. Hopefully a few scratch the itch.

You should give a listen to what White Zombie were doing pre-La Sexorcisto. They were quite the noisy racket in those days.

Anything involving Steve Albini (Shellac, Rapeman, Big Black)

The Cows/The Heroine Sheiks

Qui (David Yow from Jesus Lizard sings in their second record so you know it's good shit)

Cop Shoot Cop (not exactly noise rock, but what the hell would you call them? )

Oxbow (Same here)

And a noise rock thread wouldn't be complete without a tip of the hat to the almighty Butthole Surfers. Also check out Tod A.'s (from Cop Shoot Cop) new band Firewater. They might now fit this thread but they're just too good not to mention.
RIP Petrus Ratajczyk "Peter Steele". January 4, 1962-April 14, 2010
RIP Frank Frazetta. February 9, 1928-May 10, 2010
RIP Ronald James Padavona "Dio". July 10, 1942-May 16, 2010

good recs, but I've heard most of those, except Qui, but I'll give em a go. I love The Jesus Lizard and early White Zombie. I mean, as far as WZ goes, Soul Crusher is a noise-metal classic!
