Impiety
Terroreign (Apocalyptic Armageddon Command)

The only thing more satisfying than human misery is a new Impiety disk. You know those days when you are mightily pissed off at the world, bright sun, not a cloud in the sky, smiling faces everywhere you look. Tourist season is upon us and in anticipation I have been out blasting Impiety in public in hopes of raining on their parade. It has rained 25 of the past 30 days and all those wet frowning faces are a joy to behold. Just imagine the misery we could impart if we all got involved. Pick up Terroreign (Apocalyptic Armageddon Command) and hit the streets.

Impiety is back with a guest star and a special cover song. The intro/outros were created by Holocausto Vengeance of Beherit, and “My Dark Subconscious” originally written by Morbid, is covered. Back in the black. Impiety is back with their brand of irreverent black thrash delivered with a sneer a cackle and a wicked sense of humor. Prepare to get clobbered with a 4X4, your ears will bleed, so start with small doses.

Impiety has had many band members come and go yet they still manage to deliver the goods time in and time out. They balance the line between hardcore beliefs and mockery so well you don’t always know whether to laugh or be concerned about their level of depravity. Insane speed, wicked fast melodic lines, pulverizing drums and over the top raspy screams delivered, as always, with just enough skill to pull off what they want to do and lots of feedback and squeals to cover up their musical shortcomings, which, of course, adds to the merriment.

With metal, no matter how much some want to deny it, image is an enormous part of the package and Impiety scream METAL. I defy anyone to stand up and declare the likes of “Goatfather” and “Atomic Angel Assault” unworthy of lavish praise. SodoDestruction for the new age.

I think the same could be said about this review. Fun read!
