Joey Jordison, founding member and ex-Drummer of Slipknot, has passed away.

His family made the announcement Tuesday, July 27th, saying that the legendary drummer “died peacefully in his sleep.” Thus far, a cause of death has not been released.

Regardless of whether you’re a fan of his music, there’s little arguing the immense influence he had on this generation of metal fans and musicians. He was an absolute giant in the metal community, and he’ll be missed by friends, family and fans across the globe. Our hearts go out to all his loved ones in this difficult time.
