Hells Headbangers announces the signing of New Jersey death metallers Disma
From Hell’s Headbangers Facebook page:
“The first fruit of this union shall be the band’s long-awaited second album, “Exitum Profundus”, which will be released in the first half of next year.
Formed in 2005, Disma have long stood as a pillar of primitive, ugly DEATH METAL – uncompromising, unhallowed, undaunted. That the band features Craig Pillard on vocals (and now guitar), massively influential for his work on Incantation’s classic first two albums, is almost incidental given how CRUSHING their ominous churn is, like early Celtic Frost and Winter dragged through radioactive sewage. Disma releases have been sparse yet patient over the years, but always superlative in quality; their debut album, 2011’s “Towards the Megalith”, is held in the highest regard, while their two EPs in the past decade have only made that churn all the more punishing.

“Exitum Profundus” is slated to feature nine new tracks for over an hour of music, with returning artist Ola Larsson handling the cover. Plans are also afoot for Hells Headbangers to reissue Disma’s back catalog on all formats. A statement from the band reads: “Prepare for immense ruin and annihilation. The war has begun!”
