The singer opened up her heart and soul to the magazine, which resulted in a massive 6-page cover feature. The in-depth feature covers her life story including her troubled past and how she overcame all obstacles to live her dream. Maria Brink further comments on the whole experience: “I recently did a photo shoot for Inked Magazine and I had a blast doing so. I was a bit nervous at first because it was an editorial and I wouldn’t be picking out my own clothing or my own makeup, but what they ended up doing was so much fun and it wound up being amazing! I’m a very assertive person when it comes to what I want and what I want to look like but sometimes when you just let someone else take the wheel and drive you can wind up with a great surprise in the end. It could have potentially been a disaster, but it turned out perfect.

“The Inked crew was great to work with and I am so happy to be on the cover, as well as be a part of such a killer magazine. I am so very satisfied how tasteful the pictures turned out and how professional the whole staff was. I did an extensive interview for the inside layout as well. I was a bit nervous about it because the questions got very personal, but I went with it and answered everything honestly. The writer did a great job delivering my personal life story. I would like to thank Inked Magazine for having me on board. I am still smiling and very excited to have my first magazine cover, it turned out just right.”
