Nevermore detail special editions for The Obsidian Conspiracy!!

Nevermore‘s long-awaited follow-up to 2005’s This Godless Endeavour, The Obsidian Conspiracy, is set for release on May 28th in Europe and June 8th in North America via Century Media. The album was recorded with renowned producer Peter Wichers (who previously worked with vocalist Warrel Dane on his solo debut Praises To The War Machine). Longtime friendand collaborator Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Arch Enemy) once again handled mixing and mastering duties.

The Obsidian Conspiracy will be available in the following formats listed below:

– Regular 10 song edition
– Limited Edition digipack featuring the cover song “Temptation” (originally done by The Tea Party)
– iTunes version featuring the cover song “Crystal Ship” (originally done by The Doors)
– LP version with a bonus 7” featuring the cover songs, “Temptation” and “Crystal Ship”
– Limited edition, import only box set only available at CM Distro in North America

The limited box set edition will be made available featuring featuring the two cover versions — “The Crystal Ship” and “Temptation” — and a bonus “Play The Guitar Like Jeff Loomis” disc containing “Your Poison Throne” and “The Obsidian Conspiracy” play-along videos and guitar tabs for both songs.

In other Nevermore related news, the band recently arrived in Europe to get prepared for their tour start this week. All British fans (and those who like to travel) have the chance to be in the upcoming video for “Emptiness Unobstructed” that will be filmed live at the O2 Academy Islington show in London on May 18th.
