Paul Gray (#2), the bassist of Grammy-award winning SLIPKNOT was found dead at a hotel room in Des Moines, Iowa on the 24th. According to the local police, apparently there was no foul play in the 38-year old’s death.

The Internet has filled with Paul Gray’s peers and friends leaving their condolences. Among them, Shadows Fall vocalist Brian Fair: “He was a great musician, an underrated songwriter and a truly warm soul underneath the evil mask he rocked onstage. This is a huge loss to the metal world. He will be missed deeply.”

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to determine the cause of death.
