for fuck sake, is this an autopsy review or just another forum to bash morbid angel.give these guys thier due and concentrate on what theyr’e doing and not worry about that other band. these guys deserve that much.
(or maybe every Thomas review revolves around MA now, i can’t tell)

I never really got into Autopsy but I liked this one. I always got them confused with Obituary, shameful I know. A suitable comeback indeed.

Every time Erik Thomas reviews a death metal album, he uses some variation of the word “scrawl”. I still don’t know what a band’s poor penmanship has to do with death metal. : )

In all seriousness though, this album is indeed the antidote to Morbid Angel’s embarrassing crapfest of a new album. I’d agree with Biff_Tannen that it is a tad on the long side, but every song here is quality, even if it is a lot to digest.

Great review, my thoughts exactly ! Except that it’s maybe just a bit too long for it’s own good.
