The quality of playing and tightness of all the performances is just as rock solid as it was on Tetragrammatical Astygmata and the very impressive Battle’s Clarion before that. This improves on the powerful sound TA had and the great songwriting that BC had with some really epic and well-penned songs. I only wish they were as powerful live as they are on album. Yet I believe it has more to do with this kind of music just not translating well to the live arena then any real fault of the band. Still it is a bit of a shame.
