E Thomas, you know more about slammy shit then you give yourself credit for. I’m still slamming to the Fetal Decay album you reviewed a while back. BTW, I had heard plenty of negative stuff about The Browning before, but decided to check them out, and while they can certainly play their instruments they are simply run of the mill. this DTG is way cooler…no comparison.

But denial, you keep coming back, reading and commenting? I didnt mention the browning cos i have not heard them. I have a real job that takes up most of my time…and anyone that knocks BOTH 3 inches of blood AND Christian Mistress is definitely a mouth breather. And where do I mention Im a fan or know much about the style? In fact Im pretty sure I apologize twice regarding my lack of knowledge i=on these genres. As a fan of your reviews I “figured” I’d give Disfiguring the Goddess a listen. Third song in, I think it sounds like what would happen if a brutal, slammy, guttural death metal band was allowed to score a Science Channel show about asteroids destroying the planet. credibility, schmedibility! This shit is heavy-duty, unique, and definitely getting bought by me. The fact that I just had my head caved in by Meshuggah live last night probably is a contributing factor to me liking this, but still. Never would’ve given it a try if not for your review. Thanx!

digging this so far, the mystical Arabian stringed instruments that come in on the first track are cool, and so far the ‘writing’ is far more structured and streamlined than I would have expected from your description or the ‘technocore’ genre in general (most bands go with the whole ADD-style of composition)

The mixture of electronic music with brutal slam death is pretty interesting and done a lot better than bands like Bring Me the Horizon and Abandon All Ships. None too shabby.
