Osmose is not the label it used to be, but for Singapore’s Impiety, signing on for their third album is a big deal. For those that have never heard of them, they play, according to the band, “christfucking black warmetal.” If that does not clear things up, Osmose calls their style “satanic hellmetal.” With titles like “Bloodred angelshred” and “Christfuckingchrist,” Sodom lives. Over the top death thrash, complete with leather, spikes and bullet belts. From shooting a christian choir with machine guns to silly cover art, we have a band that has fun with satanic imagery. Impiety has always come across as light hearted, I don’t know if it is their intent, but I enjoy the in your face posturing and full throttle delivery, it brings back the heyday of German thrash.

Of note is a digipack version with two bonus tracks (Sextrash and Blasphemy covers) and different cover art. Desmond Sia did one cover, JP  Fournier the other. The other noteworthy item is that Fyraun is out of prison and back with the band. The music is fast, technical, chaotic and heavy, or to use the words of Osmose, infernal ferocity, relentless barbarity. By the way, what is the Kaos Kommand? “abominate…fornicate…desecrate” or “Krush, Kill and Conquer.” Either way this “apokalyptik warmetal” band is truly kult- they must be, they lack use of the letter ‘c’. This “ferocious and merciless stage-destroyer” sure has a handle on the rhetoric, they have a handle on black thrash to boot, keep an eye out for this one.
