Bring in Invirulant – also hailing from Phoenix, AZ, newly formed, and guess what??  No don’t say chicken butt!  As taken from Metal Archives:  Initially formed by Brandon Shobe as a resurrection of Necrambulant with an entirely new lineup, but changed their name when it was disputed by other Necrambulant members, who had reactivated their band under the same name in 2022.

So what do you expect when you see Inherited Suffering Records putting something like this out?  Well, I can say that Invirulant’s Indomitable Worldwide Slamdemic debut album sounds like the rightful successor to Necrambulant’s debut album as if it was released let’s say in 2015, a few years after the debut.  You want sludge, putrid filth, knuckle-dragging brutal slam death metal – well the dark lord almighty – this is that record.  Fans of: Abominable Putridity, Traumatomy, Korpse, Kanine, Emasculated Vituperation will go apeshit over this album.  Also newly released on the label, prior to this, is the debut album from Slamadeus – Slamphony No. 1.  I mention this because that’s also in the vein of this album, is super killer and the band name has me and site owner Erik, in stiches.  Pronounce the band name again and then realize that’s something one usually does after eating Taco Bell.

Former Necrambulant vocalist, from the debut album, Brandon Shobe vomiting vocals are back in full swing after the interesting intro, which incorporates the album cover chaos going on.  “Slamophillic Supremacy of Specielitis Sigma Singulari” is such a monstrous and putrid opening song.  The isolated bass guitar parts, during the slam, will have slam pits tossing their refrigerators out the window.  The clogged-sewer pipe, vomiting on entrails stylized vocals are so fitting for this and the 808 bass bomb during the 2.40 section is actually one of those explosion styled 808’s, which are heard randomly throughout this album.  It will rupture your eardrums.  A Killer opening song and if you can recite what Brandon is spewing forth than you get a gold star, ‘cause I don’t know wtf he’s growling, but that’s the point with these type of vocals and he throws in some pig squeals as well as long growls.  I love this shit!

“Prolapsive Reticulatis from Detrivorist Coprophorgy” is a great song title.  Basically a play on words as to someone’s asshole collapsing and eating shit alongside it.  So the music is befitting, with all the burps, farts, and inhale vocals going on, it does sound like assholes are rupturing in purulence all over the bathroom floor in vomitrocious fashion.  I really enjoy the bass guitar plucking and the Holy Shit moment right before the 1.36 mark is the ticket!  Some gargles/throat burps and then right into the slamderific brutal gut-belching slam.  This is brutal and the blasts are minimal on this, but the guitar pinch harmonics will slice your head off and then play paddle ball head with it.

Ok, so Invirulant is brutal slam death metal.  You know what you’re getting into with this type of music.  I of corpse love every minute of it and the programmed drum machine sounds great.  The production is loud and crisp so every disgusting noise is heard on this.  Invirulant’s Indomitable Worldwide Slamdemic debut is 100% unadulterated and fun brutal slam, filthy, putrid, knuckle-dragging caveman brutality.  Come and get some!

They followed that up with the 2012 The Anomalies of Artificial Origin, which featured Matti Way on vocals and that album destroys everything.  They got signed to Unique Leader Records a few years ago and put out a massive amount of merchandise and I picked up a hefty chunk of long and short sleeves.  They were supposed to put out an album through the label but that never happened.   With Matti Way still on vox the band released the 2018 single Supreme Void, yet another vicious song.  In 2020 the band announced Matti was replaced with Ángel Ochoa and the monstrous single Non Infinite Sequence was unleashed. That single was released on their current label, Russia’s Inherited Suffering Records, which has some of the best brutal death metal albums on their roster, but AP, are no doubt their best.

Parasitic Metamorphosis Manifestation is Abominable Putridity’s third album and I wish it did not take so long for them to release their damn albums, since I am a tremendous fan of their work.  The band now scaled down to Alexander Kubiashvili with All instruments/songwriting and Ángel back on vox.  9 songs in just under 25 minutes and there really are only 6 real/new songs on this – not a lot of bang for your buck.

AP re-recorded both singles and the album, as per usual with brutal slam death metal, opens with the instrumental “Transcending Into Orbital Solitude”, which is super heavy and then goes brutally into “Supreme Void”.  Ángel sounds absolutely putrid on this – one of the best clogged-sewer pipe, in need of Liquid Drano, vocals in the biz.  Pure filth and vomitrocious.  I love every millisecond of his vocals-always have.  The song’s slam at the 2.20 with the ultra-gutturals knocked down the Mayan Temple, from what I hear.  “Obscure Entity of Darkness”, has that signature Abominable Putridity sound.  It’s in the guitars how they are recorded and the riffs Alexander uses.  They always have had a very unique style.  Massive slams and then into the triggered as fuck blast beats.  I do question the organic nature of the drums – I do believe they are programmed.  Too perfect, exact and fast to be a human – but they sound unbelievable.

“Paroxysm” is the longest track at 3.38 and massive opening blasts, then gutturals then right into an earth-shattering slam.  It’s filthy, brutal and massive.  The guitars riffs really breathe nicely on this track as Ángel burps, gurgles and vomits all over the mic, sounding incredible.

The title track has a nice stop n start opening with some more blasting and then right into a massive brutal and ultra-heavy slam.  Destructive and well-placed.  Massive slams and gravity programmed blasting ensues to tear off your head and play tennis with it, as well as mess your shorts a bit.  I recently reviewed the new amazing Korpse album on here and said it would be a tough album, in this brutal slam death metal genre, to top.  Korpse are more organic sounding with their human drummer and yes I did side by side comparisons between both albums.  Korpse went in a more brutal death metal vein with their new album, but still having an abundance of slams, along with the 808 bass bomb drops and riffing, Korpse are the heavier of the two bands.  Regarding sheer knuckle-dragging brutal slams and even more violent sounding Abominable Putridity’s Parasitic Metamorphosis Manifestation bests the new Korpse.  Both will make my year end list without a friggin’ doubt.

Parasitic Metamorphosis Manifestation is an awesome album from Abominable Putridity.  The production is pristine, bombastic and although not as warm and organic in nature, as the new Korpse, AP really knocked it out of the park in creating the most violent sounding brutal slam death metal album of 2021.  Just when you catch your breath after an ultra-heavy slam another one forms and is better than the previous one.  The album cover is once again striking, as the band have always preferred to have a science-fiction/apocalyptic backdrop to their covers and this one is wonderful.  Do yourself a favor and get this monstrous album at once.

But right now, sitting close atop the heap is Distant’s Tyrannotopia and this,  the third album from one man project from Organectomy vocalist Alexander Paul. Although released earlier this year, due to some longer than expected shipping times, it only arrived in my hands a few weeks ago, but was worth the wait, if only for that fucking amazing cover art.

What we have here is utterly brutal down tuned slam death metal of the absolute slammiest kind. 33 minutes , 8 songs 1 intro (from the movie Dracula Unborn) of the most over the top, grooving, pummeling releases I’ve ever heard. It’s actually kinda hard to explain or verbalize as this is one of those releases that really needs to be heard, on a loud stereo to fully comprehend, but I have to confess, every time I did that I had a splitting headache. Seriously.

From “Insatiable Domination” to slightly more moody but still devastating largely instrumental “The Emperor of Nothing”, the tracks just destroy everything in their path with similar relentless abandon. It’s not really 8 tracks, just 8 segments of slightly different ways to have your skull crushed into a pulp. If I had to pick one or two that beat me down a little harder than the others, the more foreboding atmosphere of “Matriarchal Devirgination” and slower lopes of “Malediction” and “Transhuman Dread” as well as the aforementioned closer , as the slightly slower burn is utterly oppressive as opposed to some of the faster squeal and slam tones. And for slam, its not all guts gore and tits, it has a more malevolent themes.

I had major neck surgery in May of this year, but it looks like its all for naught, as when this drops, as I instantly break any vertebral neck fusion that has occurred with immediate head banging. Ouch.

Special mention goes out to “Autopsy of Human Mind”.  Yes forgive the grammatical errors; English is not the band’s main language.  This song encompasses the best parts of the band.  At times the song is similar to Origin with the drummer going balls to the wall with the gravity blasts.  Pig vomit styled guttural vocals are incorporated during the track, as well as other parts of the album.  The 2.30 part features a really killer breakdown with outstanding double bass sounding really powerful.

The album cover is Sopranos inspired with I guess the mob boss taking center stage as his minions are taking care of some double crossers.  It’s not the best artwork I’ve seen, but it certainly goes along with the Murder Death Kill album name.  However they should have realized this album name was already taken from Canadian thrashers, Mortillery’s debut 2011 album.  At the end of the day there are enough memorable riffs on this album to clearly make this a repeat listen again and again for me.  Killer stuff.

Mongoloids rejoice as this is music for their kind (sure I’m being a prick but this stuff drops IQ) meaning this is akin to what it feels like when having a monstrous mentally challenged person constantly pummel one’s throat with their big neanderthal feet.

“Shattered to the Bone” starts off with some noise that creates a dense atmosphere as if one is hanging from a meat hook in a damp dark dungeon. From their, violence ensues and its thick meaty blasts of slam riff-age and pounding fake drums from here on out. Or at least I believe them to be fake; since a drummer isn’t listed anywhere on their sites or information. The drums here are well put together and in fact sound as if a human is drumming. They’re that believable.

Another turn off for some folks is the vocal territory. Low gurgles, deep growls and burping noises, their typical for slam and here it’s no different. The vocalist however accentuates the songs rather nicely and his vocal patterns seem fitting rather then one constant annoying effect.

One of the main reasons this album plays differently from much of their ilk, is that none of the songs are boring or just slam after slam of bullshit. Many bands in this genre are at fault here such as Carnal Disfigurement, Gorevent, and even Cerebral Effusion. These bands don’t differentiate and can be downright boring at times.

The album has many highlights since theirs really nothing at fault here. Now by highlights I mostly mean slams of course but there are a few textures and parts that are beyond anything seen in this genre. The doom and gloom of “Emenation Of Putrid Entrails” sets a tone that incorporates doom/death style riffs in between a lot of the slams. The solo in “Mechanical Maggots” although short is unimaginable in the slam realm. Hell, even the Vader-esque blackened thrashy death metal riffs that enter the fray after that solo are unseen in this territory. Its moments like these that define a genre, sure they aren’t huge but it’s the small nuances that shine and bring the album together.

The moment you have all been waiting for, the slams and believe me this album has some of the most ridiculous brain smashing, fat women belly flopping, IQ dropping slams one will ever encounter in their life. In the title track at 1:30, the end of “Disease of Humanity,” the constant head banging slams in “Guttural Bleeding,” and the whole 2:40 of “Vomit Carnage” that instantly recalls Devourment. It’s hard picking my favorite slams/breakdowns but to be honest one needs to check this out since all of the slams are heavy and beautiful.

So there you have it folks one of the top contenders for best slam death metal album of the year. Great production and everything fits perfectly, what more could you ask for? Nothing since this my friends is slam perfection.
