Teeth of the Divine Security Notice

Dear readers.

Unfortunately, we recently became aware of a possible, brief security issue beyond our control on a machine that also housed a backup of Teeth of the Divine’s blog database (backed up in January 2016). It is possible that the backup was compromised in that brief moment and we are acting accordingly based on the assumption.

What this means to you?

Local files were not part of that backup. The current site is not compromised and remains safe to use.

The database contained the comments of the site (before January 2016) and with it, the nicknames, email addresses and IP addresses associated with those comments. Thus, potentially, in the worst case scenario, if you’ve left a comment to the site before January 2016, your email address might be out there in the open.

Our giveaways use another system and thus they were not part of the backup. We do not store that data on our server either and we do not hold onto giveaway information for longer than is necessary to see the event come to a conclusion.

So what now?

We have improved the security of the site further, so that it is more safe to browse and interact with.

We are going to keep working on the site to maintain and enhance its security where we can.

We will collect and retain as little of your personal details as we can and purge what we do not need more frequently.

We’ve also updated our privacy policy up to better explain what happens on the site when you browse it.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Teeth of the Divine wishes you Ravenous Holidays!

So 2017 is about to conclude and we figured we’d once again take a well earned break to stuff ourselves with something else than just digital promos. Yes. We’re talking about food. We need it. We deserve it. But worry not, as we’ll be right back with more reviews, more opinions, more everything. So no matter what you might be celebrating (or not) during these last moments of 2017, we hope you have a great time doing that because it looks like 2018 will either be amazing or the end of the world. Or both. None the less, happy whatever and see you in a bit!

Warrel Dane 1961-2017

Through his music, the man gave us a lot of inspiration here at Teeth of the Divine and we wish to send our condolences and pay our respect to the family and friends.

Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister, 1945-2015

The thing that seemed most impossible, has happened, and with great sadness we bow our heads at the news that Lemmy’s life long tour has finally come to a close. Just two days after his birthday on December 26th, Lemmy was diagnosed with cancer and two days from there, the man, the myth and the living legend had passed away. Another metal and rock’n’roll icon, taken, but whose music and uncompromising attitude will forever live on.

We here at Teeth give our condolences and utmost respect to the family and friends of Lemmy and our gratitude for his direct and impactful involvement in shaping the music that has gotten many of us through the challenges that life has thrown at us.

Raise a toast, drink some more, blast a few tunes and celebrate all the good times. Even in death, the man will not die.

Thank you, Lemmy.

Born to lose, live to win.

Teeth of the Divine wishes you a merry whatever

We’ll be back with more reviews, perhaps some interviews and our yearly best of -list in no time. So merry whatever, have a good one and catch you closer to 2016.

Calling New Writers

We here at Teeth of the Divine are again drowning in releases, good and bad. It’s gotten so bad that we even told the water department to scram because, honestly, who has time for watery showers when you can simply shower in metal and bathe in righteousness? But even then, the sacrifices to our personal hygiene and well being isn’t enough to cover all the goddamn metal we receive daily. Thus we’re looking for a few good headbangers that know how to spell somewhat coherent sentences to share their educated opinions about today’s hottest and ugliest releases.
